Mourinho: Scheduling will damage Arsenal-Chelsea cup tie

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho believes the scheduling of Tuesday's Capital One Cup clash with Arsenal will deny fans a classic London derby.

While Arsenal defeated bottom-of-the-table Crystal Palace 2-0 on Saturday, Chelsea will head to the Emirates Stadium a little more than 48 hours after securing a dramatic 2-1 win over Manchester City.

As a result, Mourinho feels unable to select a number of his leading stars and suggested the fourth-round match has lost some of its potential luster, aiming his frustration at those who made the decision for a Tuesday game.

Lewandowski ruins Arsene Wenger birthday celebrations

Borussia Dortmund's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski (C) vies with Arsenal's German defender Per Mertesacker (R) and French defender Laurent Koscielny (L) at the Emirates Stadium, north London, on October 22, 2013
London (AFP) - Robert Lewandowski ruined Arsene Wenger's birthday as the Borussia Dortmund striker's late goal clinched a 2-1 win against Arsenal in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Arsenal manager Wenger turned 64 on the day of the game but Lewandowski played the party pooper as he netted a 82nd-minute winner at the Emirates Stadium to shatter Arsenal's 100 percent record in Group F and end their 12-match unbeaten run in all competitions.
The Gunners trailed to Henrikh Mkhitaryan's early strike, but France striker Olivier Giroud equalised before half-time.
